PG and Research Department of English was established in 2003. It was started in response to the clarion call made the school going students who aspired to study English literature and language in a college which is competent in terms of human resources and infrastructure. Now, the department offers UG, PG, M.Phil. and Ph.D programmes catering to the academic and research needs of the students. There is a fine blend of youth and experience among the faculty members housed in the department. The department houses the department library, an exclusive Research Resource Centre, Computer Aided English Language lab and a smart room. There are several student forums such as Charisma Club, Adopt a Friend for English...etc. serving as spring boards for students to hone their English language skills.
