ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics was started with UG programme in the year 2020. Being a vibrant and ambitious department, it is the heart of science, as the most fascinating subject dealing with nourishment of life through Nutrition. The Department also offers Career Oriented Certificate/ add on / value added courses on Nutrition, Dietetics and Food service Management. The Department is actively engaged in conducting seminars, guest lectures and conferences both national and international. The department offers a broad based multidisciplinary course guaranteeing employment in a variety of sectors viz., hospitals, healthcare, clinical trials, food analyst, Food Industries ,consultant with in FSSAI, technical labelling analyst, clinical database , medical coding, pharmaceutical, food and agricultural industries, scientific research prospects and various other opportunities in and around the globe.

To be recognized as a centre for excellence in Nutrition and Dietetics that provides an atmosphere to acquire skills in identifying the link between food, metabolism, absorption and utilization. Exercise and diet are in interrelationship which helps to transform and enhance the quality of life.
MISSION
- To help the students to gain more knowledge through visits to research Institutions, Industries, and hospitals and through Job training and project work.
- To give an opportunity to students to meet eminent scientists working in various fields of Nutrition by the way of invited lectures, seminars & workshops
- To provide opportunities to get hands on experience in medical dietetics, case studies and food product development etc..
- Research oriented education in the field of Nutrition and dietetics.
