ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Commerce was established in the year 1995 with the aim of enriching learning experiences to aspiring young women scholars with knowledge of accountancy, trade activities, computer applications, auditing of accounts and research activities. The department offered Programme such as B.Com, B.Com (CA), B.Com (B&I) B.Com (A&F) B.Com (BPS), B.Com (PA), M.Com., M.Phil & Ph.D. At present the department is being functioning with 1450 students & 48 faculty members (27 Ph.D Holders 07 Pursing Ph.D). As a significant role of the department, the department involved in MoU with Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore , Dhaka International University, Bangladesh, ICSI New Delhi, ICWA New Delhi and CMA Erode Chapter. Publishing Bi-Annual International Journal (VEI- International Journal of Social Science ISSN No. 2394-1316 with impact factor), Digital Library with Online Journal, Exclusive Coaching for ICWA, CA, ACS, IAS & TNPSC, NET/SET and IBPS and every year Conducting Industrial Visits, Extension Activities, Association activities and Educational Tours.

The professional education that is provided to the students will transform them to cope up with the higher technology environment in the 21st century. The course assures the students to reach to the Global Market place by competing with the entrepreneur

• The mission of the department is to foster the high quality of education to the students to develop them into knowledgeable, resourceful and efficient business leaders.. The education will transform the young graduates to meet the challenges of both public and private sector and to become entrepreneur
