The Department of Biochemistry was started with UG programme in the year 1995 and PG was introduced in 1999. Being a vibrant and ambitious department, it is offering M.Phil and Ph.D programmes. The Department is the nucleus of biological sciences, the most fascinating subject dealing with chemical language of life. The Department also offers Career Oriented Certificate/ add on / value added courses on Diagnostic and clinical Laboratory techniques and Management. The Department is actively engaged in conducting seminars, guest lectures and conferences both national and international. The Department has been funded by DBT, INSA and TNSCST.
