CENTRE FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT
The curriculum and syllabus provide in-depth knowledge in the respective subject to the students. But it is not only enough to get the good job in the corporate world. Due to globalization, liberalization and privatization the demand for work force and skill requirements are changing from time to time. Mere graduation is not suitable to get the desired job immediately after completing the graduation. Hence, apart from theory and practical’s conducted as the curriculum, the students are required some extra skills which are needed to perform well in the placement interview and to increase the employability of the graduates. Their job opportunities may also be increased due to pursuing few job oriented certificate courses simultaneously along with their regular courses. In this context, we established the CENTRE for skill development in our Vivekanandha College of Arts and Sciences. From the past three years we have conducted following the courses and more than 5000 students are successfully completed the various certificate courses.
