I feel elate to serve as the Principal of Vivekanandha College of Arts and Sciences for Women (Autonomous), Elayampalayam. The vision of our Chairman is to empower women by providing the excellent education to women not only in urban but also to the women in rural areas. As per the words of Michelle Obama, 'when women are educated, their countries become stronger and more prosperous', the Chairman and dedicated faculty members strive hard to educate and empower women. Our main aim is to disseminate global education to become a globally recognized centre of excellence in the mission of providing higher education and promoting research especially to female community. The institution stepped into women's educational service in the year 1995. Our college offers 28 UG programmes, 15 PG programmes, 13 M.Phil. Programmes and 11 Ph.D. Programmes. We have established Centre for Excellence under which various cells are functioning to enhance the additional skills and knowledge of the students.

To promote quality research and placement, our institution has signed MOUs with reputed institutions across the world. A large majority of our students are well placed all over the world. A college must fulfil the stakeholders' expectations. Our main stakeholder is our students. To enrich them, we organize many extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. With the endeavours of the management, faculty members, students and parents, we continue to succeed in shaping the disciplined and talented female community to face the competitive world.
